CageFS Visualization

CageFS is a virtualization technology that is used to isolate and secure shared hosting environments. It creates a “virtualized environment” or “cage” for each user, in which the user has access to their own set of system libraries, files, and processes, and is isolated from the rest of the hosting environment. This helps to prevent users from accessing or modifying each other’s files, as well as from accessing sensitive system files and processes.

CageFS includes a visualization feature that allows hosting providers to see a visual representation of the virtualized environments of each user on the server. This can be helpful for identifying potential security issues or for troubleshooting problems with individual accounts. The visualization feature is typically accessed through a control panel or web-based interface provided by the hosting provider.

CageFS is commonly used in shared hosting environments, where multiple users share the same server and resources. It is one of several technologies that can be used to enhance the security and isolation of shared hosting environments and to prevent users from accessing or affecting each other’s websites.
